Upload your logo and hero image
Add your dealership logo and homepage hero image, then set the headline and sub-headline — all in the visual builder.
Your logo and hero image are the first things buyers see. You set both in the visual builder — click a section of your live preview, make the change, then Publish.
Nothing goes live until you click Publish. Every change here stays in an in-session draft you can preview, then publish or discard. The status chip in the top toolbar shows Unpublished changes or All changes published.
Open the builder
- Go to Website in the dashboard.
- Click Open visual builder. Your storefront loads as a live, clickable preview.
- Highlighted sections are editable — click one to open its edit panel on the right.
Upload your logo
Your logo shows in the site header and on your listings.
- In the builder, click the header (the top bar of your site preview).
- In the panel, click Upload logo (it reads Replace logo if you already have one).
- Pick your image file. A square PNG or SVG works best.
- Click Publish in the top toolbar to push it live.
To take the logo off, open the header panel and click Remove, then Publish.
Upload your hero image and set the headline
The hero is the big banner at the top of your homepage. The headline and sub-headline render on top of the image.
- In the builder, click the hero section (the large banner at the top).
- Click Upload image (or Replace image to swap it). Use a wide landscape photo — it sits behind your headline with a dark overlay.
- Type your Headline (for example, "Quality pre-owned vehicles").
- Type your Sub-headline (for example, "Family-owned. FL-based.").
- Click Publish to go live.
No custom hero image? Your layout shows a built-in default photo, so the page still looks finished. Upload your own anytime to override it. To go back to the default, open the hero panel and click Remove.
Preview before you publish
- Edits show in the live preview as you type or upload.
- Use the device toggles (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) in the toolbar to check how it looks on each screen.
- Use Undo / Redo (or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y) to step through changes.
- Click Publish to go live, or Discard to throw the draft away.
Uploading stages the image in your draft only — your live site keeps its current logo or hero until you click Publish. If you exit the builder without publishing, those staged changes are not live.
FAQ
Where does my logo actually appear?
In your storefront's site header and on your vehicle listings. This is your dealership's storefront logo — it does not change the AutoDealer.io app branding.
Can I change the hero call-to-action button text?
No — there's no editable button label. Depending on your layout, the hero shows an inventory search (it pulls make, model, and year from your published inventory) rather than a custom text button. You control the headline and sub-headline copy.
What image format should I use?
For the logo, a square PNG or SVG looks cleanest. For the hero, use a wide landscape photo so it fills the banner without stretching.
I uploaded an image but my live site still shows the old one.
You haven't published yet. Uploads stay in your draft until you click Publish in the builder's top toolbar. Check the toolbar chip — if it says Unpublished changes, click Publish.
Who can change the logo and hero?
Only an Owner or Manager. Salespeople don't have access to the website builder.
How do I set a social-share (OG) image?
The social-share preview image is set per page, not in the builder. Go to Website → Pages, open a page, and set its share image in the page editor. The logo, hero image, and homepage headline on this page all live in the visual builder instead.
